MAY CODY ROBERTS This exhibition by Cody Roberts in the late spring of 2010 was a tour de force, as he explored censorship and the over-achieving culture of Richmond's west end schools. The exhibition showcased every work of art Cody had ever made, and included super-hero like characters that were spray painted to interact with the work on the walls. These characters personified the environment and pressure to constantly earn the A and A+ at this school, while also exploiting the censorship and suppressed creativity that is in the DNA of public education. This multi media show was heavily attended and helped earn this young artist a full scholarship into the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
